Wozniak, known in the tech world as Woz, is a Silicon Valley veteran who co-founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Jobs and invented the first Apple computer. Apple went on to become the world’s most valuable company.

Wozniak is also an outspoken advocate for the responsible development of artificial intelligence. In March, he co-signed a letter with Elon Musk calling for a moratorium on the development of the most powerful AI models. He also called for regulation of AI, fearing that the technology could be exploited by the “bad guys.”

It is unclear what caused Wozniak’s stroke, but he is expected to make a full recovery.
