John Mellencamp has just wrapped up his sold-out “Live and In Person 2023” North American tour, and he has confirmed that he will be heading back out in 2024 for the “Live and In Person 2024” tour.

The tour will hit 27 new cities for one night only. The tour will begin on August 23, 2024 in Rochester, New York and end on October 27 in Savannah, Georgia. Mellencamp will also perform in Newark, NJ; Hartford, CT; Birmingham, AL; Green Bay, WI; and Washington, DC. A complete list of dates is below.

A limited number of exclusive VIP packages will also be available beginning Tuesday, October 31 at 3 a.m. local time. These exclusive packages offer select reserved seat tickets, autographed memorabilia, special merchandise and more. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. local time.

The new dates celebrate Mellencamp’s latest album, Orpheus Descending, which was released to critical acclaim on Republic Records this past June.

Mellencamp will continue to perform songs from the new album live.

“Hey God” is a powerful call to action about senseless gun violence, while “The Eyes of Portland” tells the story of a homeless woman.

Produced by Mellencamp and recorded at his own Belmont Mall Studio, Orpheus Descending is Mellencamp’s 25th studio album.

He recently received the Founders Award, the highest honor bestowed by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Last year, he released a deluxe reissue of his beloved and groundbreaking album, Scarecrow, featuring a wealth of never-before-shared bonus tracks, rarities and more.

His critically acclaimed studio record Strictly A One-Eyed Jack was released early last year, garnering accolades from The New York Times, NPR Music, The Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes, among others.

Mellencamp continues to focus on another aspect of his artistic expression: painting.

Last year, he published a self-curated collection, John Mellencamp: Paintings and Assemblages, which is now available from Rizzoli Press in New York.
